Whereby is an online video conference service that allows people to create and join “Room” without having to download any software. To join a Room, all you have to do is click a link, and you will be connected with video and audio.
For Home Improvement, this can a lifesaver for Virtual Appointments. Depending on your phone service, you might not be able to do Facetime with all customers. Having a place to virtually meet that is easy to access will allow your virtual appointments to take place without a hitch.
Here’s how it works:
Within a contact card, Hatch users can paste their Whereby Room link into a message.
The customer will receive a link to join.
When you are ready to start your appointment, click the link and you will be redirected to your Whereby Room.
- First, make sure you have created a Whereby Account. It takes 5 minutes to set-up and is free to use! Check out how to set-up here.
- In Hatch, navigate to your Profile Settings.
- Click on Apps.
- Under Whereby, click Add Your Whereby Room.
- Enter your room name and hit save.
